Punta Gorda Upcoming April Events

There is always something good happening in Punta Gorda, Florida. There are many recurring events and new festivals from month to month. Above all, the local friendliness will make it all enjoyable.

Third Thursday Wine Walk– Every third Thursday from 5:00pm-8:00pm in Downtown Punta Gorda.

Saturday Farmers Market– Every Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm on Taylor Street in front of the Courthouse.

Parks That Teach– Free walking tour every 1st Saturday and 3rd Wednesday of the month from 9:30am-11:00am. Departs from Fishermen’s Village/Linear Park (for more information, call the Master Gardeners at 941-764-4340)

Muscle Car City Monthly Car Show– Every third Saturday of every month from 9:00am-1:00pm on 10175 Tamiami Trail. Free to car show owners, free to public. No admission fee to enter the Diner, Memorabilia Store, Speed Shop or Indoor “For Sale” Car Corral.

4th Annual Downtown Hoedown for the Troops– April 6th from 2:00pm-11:00pm at City Marketplace, 115 Tamiami Trail. Support the troops and attend this event providing live music including well known country singers and great food and drinks. General admission: $20, General admission w/ seating: $30

Vendor & Craft Fair at Laishley Park– April 7th from 10:00am-3:00pm. Vendors, arts, crafts, food trucks, and the Easter Bunny (during 12-2pm) Free general admission

Springfest 5K– April 7th starting at 8:00am (registration 6:30am-7:45am) at Laishley Park on Nesbit Street. 5K & Fun Mile, a fun family event! Registration Fees apply.

City Wide Garage Sale– April 13th from 8:00am-12:00pm at 1133 Bal Harbor Boulevard.

Easter Bunny Festival– April 13th from 11:00am-2:00pm at Burnt Store Marketplace on 3941 Tamiami Trail. Free admission to visit with the Easter Bunny, treats and goodie bags, activity stations, games and prizes, etc.

1st Annual Punta Gorda Spring Festival– April 13th from 12:30pm-10:00pm at Four Points by Sheraton Punta Gorda Harborside on 33 Tamiami Trail. A free admission festival celebrating spring with music and food.

Eggnormouse Easter Egg Hunt– April 20th from 10:00am-2:00pm at 1st United Methodist Church on 507 W. Marion Avenue. Meet the Easter Bunny, photo booth, bounce house, candy, and games and prizes.

Punta Gorda Block Party– April 27th from 12:00pm-10:00pm including stages on Retta Esplanade, West Marion Ave and East Marion Ave. Enjoy food, community demos, and live music including the well known The Drifters and many more. Free Admission but donations are welcome.

Muscle Car City Monthly Auto Flea Market– April 28th from 7:00am-1:00pm at Muscle Car City on 10175 Tamiami Trail.

 

Our Area

Residents in Punta Gorda are very connected with the community and look out for each other as well. In addition, Fishermen’s Village is a popular spot to grab a bite to eat or experience unique shopping.

Furthermore, right on the other side of the bridge is Port Charlotte. This is another town in Charlotte County that offers a variety of restaurants and shopping. You can enjoy nearby beaches, parks, golfing, etc. Finally, Port Charlotte has the Tampa Bay Rays spring training baseball stadium. Whether you enjoy sports or just want to relax, we have it all.
