DSIDX – Settings for Rental Properties

The Problem

1. Displaying listings that are classified as rental properties shows the expected results:

We get 11 results when showing our “rental Properties” which have the “Property Type” of “Rental Property”

Displaying listings that are “12 Month” listings, irrelevant of the property type, does not show the expected results:

We get 0 results when filtering by the Property Feature “Lease Term – 12 Months” with and without the property type of rental property selected:

Displaying listings that are “Short Term Lease” listings, irrelevant of the property type, does not show the expected results:

We get 1 result when filtering with the property feature “Lease Term – Short Term Lease” with and without the property type of rental property selected:

2. The “Additional Details” section is missing from all rental property listings except C7458017, which is also the one MLS property that shows up with a 12-month filter.

Important Note:

In 2018, a technician helped us setup “Property Feature” codes to let us filter rentals by seasonal and annual. Below are the codes they sent me; this was when I had to type the codes in (one per line) rather than choose from a list of check boxes.

5893 – Lease Frequency – Annually
5894 – Lease Frequency – Daily
5896 – Lease Frequency – Monthly
5895 – Lease Frequency – Seasonal
5897 – Lease Frequency – Weekly

Choose a drop-down for:

  • Lease Amount Frequency: Monthly
  • Lease Term: 12 Months

  • Lease Amount Frequency: Monthly
  • Lease Term: Short Term Lease

3 – MLS Exterior Information

Has no affect on results displayed

Steps taken to resolve this issue:

  • Confirmed settings as above
  • Adding/removing a “Minimum Lease” term
  • Adding/removing application fee
  • Checked “Listing Type” and “Listing Service Type” for any type of rental options
  • Selecting “Paved” as a “Lot Features” (to see if that activates the “Lot Description” section.
  • There is no “Lot Description” section in our MLS, what we do have is Property Description, View and Lot Features and Other Structures fields.
